Kaitlin Frehling

Kaitlin Frehling brings a lifetime of swim experience to “On Deck with Florida Swim Network.”  A stand out age grouper since the age of 6, she has competed first for the Clearwater Aquatic Club and later trained with the legendary Fred Lewis at St. Pete Aquatics

In high school, Kaitlin was a 5-time state champion and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials for the first time before she graduated twelfth grade. A scholar as well as an athlete, she left Seminole High School with a 4.25 GPA.

In college Kaitlin swam at the University of Florida under Olympic coach Gregg Troy, where she helped the Gators win the SEC Championship three times.  As Kaitlin says, “Coach Troy taught me lessons that extended further than the pool. He taught me valuable life lessons to help me in the real world.”

A collegiate All-American Honorable mention and NCAA qualifier, Kaitlin competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials in three events: 50 and 100 Free and the 100 Fly. She graduated from University of Florida in May, 2015 with a degree in telecommunications.

Since that time Kaitlin has commentated for Florida Swim Network, doing both the play-by-play and color commentary for meet broadcasts and as a poolside reporter on the SEC Network.
